April 28

Ever wanted to have a virtual maid? Well, that's what SNK Playmore's latest cellphone game seems to be about, named Ai no Iroha, and starring, of course, fan-favorite Iroha. Note that she's playing in a six-button arcade cabinet, maybe she prefers Street Fighter?

Valkyria of the Battlefield may be out already, in Japan at least, but Gamewatch keeps releasing character-centered promotional videos, this time Maximilian.

The official site for Tales of Vesperia has updated, opening many of its sections, including new character profiles. I've uploaded the new artwork here, and you can check for more info on Wikipedia, as the game's section is nicely updated.

April 27

The Steal Princess website has a couple of cute wallpapers for download.

And on Jilpoong17's, in a new fanart Sayaka Yumi cosplays as Hyper Dynamo Z from Powerpuff Girls Z.

April 24

Vyse and Aika from Skies of Arcadia are playable characters in Valkyria of the Battlefield. Their bio page just says they came from a foreign country, and are old friends. Vyse is an assault soldier, Aika is a scout, and they get stat bonuses when near each other. They have regular soldier clothes.

CBR has an interview with writer Chris Yost about his upcoming Secret Invasion: Runaways / Young Avengers miniseries. The article also has a good amount of (cute) preview artwork by Takeshi Miyazawa.

April 23

Still half-dead computer but...

As Gamercafe reports, Otomedius is coming out for Xbox 360.

And SRW Hotnews also has scans showing more Super Robot Wars Z. The amount of obscure series make it a successor to Alpha Gaiden, somehow. Not like that's a bad thing!

April 22

More Super Robot Wars Z goodness over here, the first bunch of screens released.

April 21

My computer if acting weird, so if I dissapear from some days, now you know why, software issues. By the way, I did update my videogame girls blog after all - Cristian

GPara has twin articles for Jigsaw Battle (here) and Disgaea (here) for Nintendo DS.

April 20

An (uncomfortable to watch) video showing some of the Super Robot Wars Z in-game graphics can be seen here. The game looks even more awesome than previous SRWs, if that's possible.
source: ws

And on Jilpoong17's new fanart, Sayaka Yumi cosplays as Operatiger, the robot seen briefly in the last Shinkon Gattai Godannar episode.

Adam Hughes' website has a preview image of his Women of DC Comics poster, and it looks great.

According to IGN, Hilde's second outfit for Soul Calibur IV is "a beautiful formal dress with an elaborate lace collar". Sounds promising, she's the most interesting of the newcomers, and considering the fanservicey redesigns for the older girls, she's the only one with some self respect left (then again, the armor breaking system may ruin that, I'm worried).

Runaways is one of the most interesting comic books being published nowadays, and finally more news about the September release of volume 3 have surfaced, as Newsarama has an interview with writer Terry Moore, CBR has a cover preview by artist Humberto Ramos, who also has preview images in his blog, here and here. For now, the second volume ends in May 21, and a Runaways and Young Avengers miniseries set in Secret Invasion starts afterwards filling the gap between volumes.

And in the 12's entry on ARK's blog, Morrigan Aensland is cosplaying Horo from Spice & Wolf.

April 11

I was toying with Wordpress and started this small blog about female videogame characters, but not sure if I'll update it with regularity. You may want to check it anyway. - Cristian

A new figure of Belldandy (Ah! My Goddess) comes out in september, but it's kinda creepy.

Over at Gamewatch, a sixth Valkyria of the Battlefield character-centric video, showcasing Alicia Melchiott.

A poseable figure of Ghost in the Shell's Motoko Kusanagi comes out in June. The joints are creepy as usual, but she's a cyborg after all.

And for the Getsumento Heiki Mina fans, a Miina figure comes out in August.

A very nice front image at Fool's Art Gallery, that reminds me of this one in Fomalhaut's site.

Over here you can check pics of Sega Splash! Golf, the new Windows-based sports game featuring characters such as Ulala, Nights, Sonic, Tails, the Fantasy Zone ship and surprisingly, Carbuncle from Puyo Puyo. They keep releasing this crap and we still don't get a home port of Planet Harriers. Meh.

More pics and art of Final Fantasy IV The After (cellphone sequel to the classic RPG) are here, and feature a new cheongsam-wearing girl named Ursula, also listed now in the official site.

And more pics of the Ketsui and DoDonPachi Dai-Ou-Jou Black Label release for Xbox 360 can be seen here.

Udon has a very nice website to promote the american edition of the Okami artbook. Worth checking, and of course a good buy.

An affordable (2940 yen) version of Puyo Puyo! is coming out in June for PSP, Nintendo DS, Wii and Playstation 2. The DS version has Wi-Fi support, and all have the gameplay styles of Puyo Puyo, Puyo Puyo Tsuu and Puyo Puyo Fever. So basically, it seems to be a cheaper re-release of Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary, which is good. Let's hope similar versions are released outside of Japan.

April 4

This week's Valkyria of the Battlefield trailer at Gamewatch features Zaka.

A figure based on okama's delicious Eggplant-sama from his Food Girls artbook comes out in August, which takes me to the...

This has been a good week for comic books, as we got an excellent new Buffy Season 8 issue (no lesbian action this time, but Dracula fun), and the first part of Warren Ellis' Anna Mercury miniseries. You can check a preview of Anna Mercury in here, and since I'm mentioning Warren Ellis, two pages of Astonishing X-Men 25 can be seen here.
